Job description

One of our clients, a provider of integrated and comprehensive satellite communication services, is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Officer for their Limassol office.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, process, and execute payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers in a timely manner
  • Accurately enter supplier information into the accounting system and maintain up-to-date and organized records
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and inquiries, and maintain positive relationships
  • Perform regular reconciliations of vendor/intercompany accounts and financial statements to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly cash flow reports and projections
  • Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing reports and reconciling accounts payable ledger
  • Prepare necessary documentation for audits and assist with tax-related filings and compliance

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

  • Semi-Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA or University degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience financial & management accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High ethical standards
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • Fluency in Greek and English
