Job description
One of our clients, a provider of integrated and comprehensive satellite communication services, is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Officer for their Limassol office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and execute payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers in a timely manner
- Accurately enter supplier information into the accounting system and maintain up-to-date and organized records
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and inquiries, and maintain positive relationships
- Perform regular reconciliations of vendor/intercompany accounts and financial statements to ensure accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of monthly cash flow reports and projections
- Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing reports and reconciling accounts payable ledger
- Prepare necessary documentation for audits and assist with tax-related filings and compliance
Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:
- Semi-Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA or University degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience financial & management accounting
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High ethical standards
- Reliable and conscientious
- Fluency in Greek and English
