A client of ours, a leading provider of innovative communication solutions in the maritime industry, is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer (Level 2) to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and technically skilled professional to play a key role in supporting advanced onboard communication systems and ensuring the smooth operation of critical services. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-support environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in resolving daily Level 2 technical issues or escalated customer inquiries from Level 1 Customer Support Agents
  • Maintain, monitor, and enhance developed products and services
  • Develop and update internal Knowledge Base documentation
  • Create and refine troubleshooting processes and procedures
  • Configure and maintain onboard communication systems
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding general inquiries and coordinate with the Customer Support Manager
  • Identify functional risks and opportunities and propose appropriate actions when necessary

 

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Proven experience in a similar role is considered an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and firewall configuration
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting
  • Comfortable using remote diagnostic tools and techniques, especially in environments where physical access to equipment is limited (e.g., maritime operations)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
