One of our clients, a leading company in the Regulatory Technology and Financial Services industry, is seeking a Python Developer to join their team in Nicosia.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy data strategies and system enhancements for various business information types, including infrastructure, data stores, and business intelligence
• Act as the primary point of contact for code management and review, ensuring high-quality standards
• Take a lead role in managing data infrastructure and database procedures, ensuring efficiency and scalability
• Provide executive-level information management reporting, generating complex ad hoc queries for portfolio analysis, control group establishment, and business trend assessment
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and product teams to drive the adoption of new technology features
• Conduct research on emerging methodologies and technologies, bringing innovative solutions to the team
• Contribute at every stage of the software development life cycle, from ideation to deployment
• Design solutions, write and test code, and automate testing and deployment processes
• Participate in discussions on best practices and emerging technologies, shaping the foundation for future development

 

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in a relevant role
• Hands-on experience with Python frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.)
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and server-side templating (Jinja2, Mako)
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, React.js, CSS3)
• Strong understanding of ORM libraries, REST/JSON, SOAP/XML web services
• Expertise in PostgreSQL and database management
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud, and Git source control
• Knowledge of banking, trading, or regulatory systems is an advantage
• Skilled in data analysis, profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and integrity
• Fluent in English (German, Russian, or French is a plus)
