Our client, a CySEC-regulated investment firm, provides cutting-edge financial and investment technology services to high-net-worth professional traders and institutions. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire a talented Junior IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the company’s IT infrastructure, providing timely technical support, resolving IT-related issues, and collaborating closely with team members to continuously improve IT services. This position is essential to ensuring business continuity, reducing response times, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and proactive IT maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to all employees within the office environment
- Handle, diagnose, and troubleshoot IT issues arising from daily operations, ensuring resolution within specified SLAs
- Perform in-house systems administration for laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices
- Organize and maintain IT offices and storage areas, ensuring a clean and functional workspace
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of internal documentation, including knowledge bases, manuals, and support materials
- Provide regular status reports and updates on ongoing tasks and support activities
Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:
- BSc degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar IT support or systems role
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) and other collaboration tools
- Familiarity with operating systems including macOS, Microsoft Windows 10 and above, and Windows Server 2019 and above
- Experience working with Microsoft-based infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model, roles of network devices, and LAN/WAN configurations
- Experience with PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation is considered an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and solve problems proactively
- High attention to detail and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
- Able to work well in a team environment and independently when needed
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including handling emergency situations
- Fluency in English
