Our client is seeking a Deputy General Manager to support the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the business, helping to deliver exceptional hospitality, leisure, and customer experiences while contributing to the organisation's continued growth and success.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded professional with aspirations to progress into a senior leadership position. The successful candidate will benefit from structured development and hands-on experience, gradually assuming greater responsibility across multiple departments while driving operational excellence, business performance, and a culture of outstanding service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day management of the business, ensuring the smooth running of Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Events, Retail, Memberships, and Facilities while maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Drive commercial performance by supporting revenue growth across golf, memberships, events, hospitality, and retail, while contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and the achievement of business objectives
  • Monitor operational and financial performance, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and help implement initiatives that enhance efficiency and profitability
  • Champion an outstanding member and guest experience by building strong relationships with members, guests, business partners, and stakeholders, while promoting the organisation as a leading destination
  • Support the planning and delivery of golf tournaments, corporate events, weddings, and other functions, ensuring high operational standards and maximising revenue opportunities
  • Lead, coach, and develop operational teams by fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture and supporting recruitment, training, and employee development
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures while promoting a safe, sustainable, and customer-focused working environment

 

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field
  • 1–2 years' experience in hospitality, leisure, tourism, golf, or another customer-focused operational environment
  • Experience supervising or coordinating teams within a service-driven business
  • Strong commercial awareness with an interest in business development and revenue generation
  • Solid financial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret KPIs and support budgeting 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management systems

 

Desirable:

  • Experience within a golf resort, country club, hotel, or premium hospitality environment
  • Experience working with international guests, corporate clients, and tourism partners
  • Fluency in Greek or an additional language will be considered an advantage
