Job description
We are seeking a motivated and well-organized Customer Support Officer to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating customer requests and supporting the smooth execution of maritime service operations, from the initial enquiry and quotation stage through service attendance and final invoicing.
This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with customers, engineers, manufacturers, approved service stations, classification societies, and other parties involved in the service process.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and respond to customer enquiries via email in a timely and professional manner
- Handle and coordinate customer requests throughout the complete service cycle, from the quotation stage through to service completion and invoicing
- Prepare quotations and follow up with customers regarding approvals, service requirements, and relevant documentation
- Coordinate with the Company’s engineers, arranging travel, transportation, accommodation, vessel attendance, and other operational requirements as necessary
- Coordinate the timely preparation, collection, and submission of service reports and supporting documentation following completion of each service attendance
- Ensure the smooth execution and implementation of the complete operational workflow, maintaining effective communication among all parties involved
- Identify and verify approved service stations through manufacturers’ official networks and/or classification societies that are members of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS)
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, service stations, engineers, and other external partners to ensure services are completed efficiently and within the required timeframe
- Maintain accurate records of ongoing and completed jobs and ensure that all relevant operational and customer documentation is properly organized and updated
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the department as required
Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or another relevant field
- Previous experience in the maritime, shipping, technical services, or customer support sector will be considered an advantage
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic and deadline-driven environmen
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and external partners
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow operational matters through to completion
- Computer literacy, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and email correspondence
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
