In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments, and fostering positive relationships with clients.

 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all company policies related to cash collection and credit management
• Take full ownership of the debt collection process for your assigned portfolio, ensuring timely and consistent follow-up on outstanding payments
• Communicate proactively with customers and partners regarding overdue balances, maintaining a professional and positive relationship while addressing payment issues
• Negotiate payment terms and plans when required, always aiming for fair, practical, and mutually beneficial solutions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions, outstanding balances, and any issues impacting payment timelines to ensure full transparency
• Work closely with internal teams such as Sales and Customer Service to promptly resolve disputes and support strong, ongoing client relationships
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on credit and collections activities, highlighting overdue accounts, identifying potential credit risks, and suggesting areas for process improvement

 

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Previous experience in credit control or a similar role is considered an asset
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and credit control procedures
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to remain professional during challenging conversations
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken
