Our client in the marine satellite communications industry is seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager to drive market expansion.

We currently have one vacancy available in Greece, with the same opportunity also open in Cyprus and Germany. These roles are part of an existing international structure aimed at strengthening presence in key regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute sales and commercial strategies to achieve business growth and revenue and GP targets
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Design and implement strategic sales plans to expand the company’s customer base
  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with customers
  • Negotiate new projects and contract terms with new customers
  • Organise marketing activities for customers and participate in promotional events
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, monitor competition activities and stay informed about industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive approach in achieving company objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and commercial success
  • Prepare and present regular reporting to the executive team
  • Ensure good understanding and knowledge of all products and services as listed in Product and Service Portfolio
  • Respond to sales inquiries and follow up of sales offers sent to customers
  • Assist accounts to collect long overdue balances being reported
  • Participate in industry or promotional events (i.e., trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships

 

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:

  • Degree in business administration, shipping or a related field
  • Proven experience of 5 years in Sales Management, preferably in Shipping industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
