Our client is an international technology and communications company serving the maritime sector. The organisation delivers advanced satellite and hybrid communication solutions, alongside IT and cybersecurity services, supporting vessels, fleet operations, and remote business environments across international markets.

 

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounts receivable activities within a dynamic, international environment, working closely with customers and internal teams to support accurate financial operations and effective credit management.

 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the accounts receivable ledger and track outstanding customer balances
• Follow up on overdue accounts and support the timely collection of outstanding amounts
• Process and accurately allocate customer payments within the accounting system
• Perform accounts receivable reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
• Prepare ageing reports and provide regular accounts receivable updates to management
• Respond to customer billing enquiries and resolve payment-related issues professionally and promptly
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards

 

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
• Problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be considered an advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken Greek and English
