Job description
An esteemed international client of ours, is looking to recruit a skilled and dedicated Accounts Officer to join their team at their Limassol office.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts in compliance with company policies
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial statements
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash flow records
- Prepare and present financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Prepare and file tax returns as required by local regulations
- Ensure timely payment of all tax obligations
- Provide guidance on Cyprus financial and tax regulations
- Provide support with general office administration tasks as needed
- Report directly to company management
Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or LCCI Higher
- 3–6 years of experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with local financial regulations, and accounting standards
- Knowledge of VAT, VIES procedures and other local taxes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent command of the English language
