Job description
One of our clients, a firm of chartered certified accountants specializing in audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services, is seeking to hire an Accountant for their Limassol office.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior team members on diverse client portfolios, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, transaction recording, and compliance using in-house or client-provided software
- Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs, maintain high-quality records, and reconcile accounts (e.g., bank, cash, and brokers)
- Manage payroll, VAT, tax filings, and registrations, liaising with government authorities and the Cyprus Tax Department
- Support client financial matters, including loan agreements, customer/supplier balances, and tax-related issues, while staying updated on accounting and tax developments
- Work closely with other departments (Audit, Tax, Compliance) to deliver tailored, efficient solutions
Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields from a reputable university
- ADIT or similar professional qualification is an advantage
- Up to 2 years of experience in bookkeeping within professional services
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and highly organized with attention to detail
- Team player with a creative mindset, quick learning ability, and a conscientious approach
- Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written) with strong communication and interpersonal skills
